CHILDREN AND YOUTH EDUCATION

• CHILDREN'S CHURCH: During worship Children’s Ministry Coordinator Jordana leads our PK to 5th grade learners to the Children’s Church room, just down the hall from the sanctuary, as we begin the "Gathering Hymn" and then return as we "Share the Peace." We hope you make this part of your family's weekly worship rythm!

• THE COMPASS COOPERATIVE gathers every Sunday with our four church partners (Emanuel's Lutheran Church, Friedens Church, St. Andrew's Episcopal, and Spirit of Joy Lutheran) at Spirit of Joy campus. Middle School Compass (6-8 gr.) from 4-5pm, dinner for everyone at 5pm, and High School Compass (9-12 gr) from 5:30-6:30pm. ​​

• CONFIRMATION CLASSES for our 6th to 8th graders meets this year on the 4th Sunday of every month after worship in the Women’s Ministry Room. See the full schedule here.

• 3RD GRADE BIBLE CLASS & PRESENTATION is offered each September. The pastor offers a brief overview of the Bible, its testaments, and its history. Each student will be presented with their own Bible, along with book tabs to mark each books' beginning, as well as a personalized name plate. During the worship service that follows, the Bibles are blessed and presented by each student's parents or guardians.

• FIRST COMMUNION:  Classes are held each spring on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15am in the Women’s Ministry Room. Classes are open to all 5th grade youth and older, as well as parents, guardians, or the interested soul. First Communion is celebrated on Maundy Thursday.
